Let’s Flamingle

The Army Recruit Training Centre hosted the first of two Ladies Night events for the year. The Ladies Night functions are held for defence spouses, women who posted to and employed by defence and those who are closely connected to the Wagga Defence community. The intent is to encourage ladies within this community to interact, meet like-minded women who understand the highs and lows of being a defence family and build a strong network of support and friendship. This particular event was themed by Let’s Flamingle and saw a number of defence spouse home businesses on display. Funded entirely by the Kapooka Regimental Trust Fund and the Blamey Barracks Officers and Sergeants mess respectively, the event was very well attended with just over ninety ladies walking down the pink carpet. A large number of prizes were up for grabs via lucky door, hidden treasures and Flamingo Bingo and appreciation is given to those local businesses who contributed to the prize bank. JB Hi-fi, Wagga Pole Studio, Hogs Breath , Carriage House Restaurant, Grilld, Kooringal Hotel,  Aussie Disposal, Belinda Byrnes Nutrition and Naturopathy, Rodan and Fields, Lilly & Joyce and Wagga RSL Club. These generous donations make the evening even more special and certainly adds a bit of competitive streak throughout the night. The next Ladies Night event will be in Sep/Oct 2018 !
